Welcome to the Alliance Protein Laboratories web site! A.P.L. offers contract research services in the areas of protein and peptide biophysical characterization, protein aggregation, protein purification, and protein stabilization. If you are looking for analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC), circular dichroism, light scattering, or native gel analysis of your biotech product, or help with your protein aggregation problems, you have found the right place! At A.P.L. the experiments and data interpretation are done by recognized experts with extensive experience in biotech R&D, not by a technician, and on our own equipment, not in a university lab.

A.P.L. is a spin-off from the Protein Chemistry department at Amgen. It was founded in 1998 by Drs. Tsutomu Arakawa and John Philo. Our current laboratory is located within the campus of California State University, Channel Islands in Camarillo, CA, but we will be moving to San Diego in December 2012. Our clients include ~250 companies in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia as well as major universities and non-profit institutes.
