These two maps give an overview of our location relative to Los Angeles and Santa Barbara (the red star). To come from the airport (LAX) you would take I-405 N to US-101N to Camarillo, or the scenic route along the coast on Highway 1. Call us for details.
Note that the red star on these MapQuest maps actually indicates the turn for the University entrance rather than the true location of the University. If you are coming on the 101 freeway take the Santa Rosa Rd./Pleasant Valley Rd. exit and head south on Pleasant Valley, following the signs for Cal. St. University, Channel Islands. You will turn left at Lewis Rd. (traffic light) and then left after ~1.5 mile onto University Drive (the position of the star on the maps, still shown as Camarillo Rd. on many maps). The campus entrance is about 1.5 mile along University Dr.; be careful, the 35 m.p.h. speed limit is strictly enforced! From Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) take the Los Posas Rd. exit and head north. Turn right at the first light onto Hueneme Rd. Hueneme Road becomes Lewis Rd. after crossing a bridge, where Potrero road intersects from the right. Continue on Lewis about 1.5 mi until you see the sign for CSU Channel Islands, where you turn right onto University Dr.
Continue straight onto campus on University Drive. If we've told you to pick up a parking sticker, turn right into the first parking lot and either buy it at the vending machine or go into the building (Police station). After reaching a stop sign on University (which is also the exit if you have gotten a parking sticker) continue straight, and after ~100 yards Chapel Ave will enter from the left (keep going straight). About 150 yards past Chapel, and past the Art Complex on the right, turn right into a driveway marked at the far side with a red sign saying Lindero Hall is to the right. There is also a large red number 77 painted on the wall to the left of this driveway. (If you pass #85, Lindero Hall, you have gone too far so return to this driveway). As you follow that driveway into the first courtyard you will see a small visitor parking area ahead and to the left. Park there, or somewhere else within the courtyard if that spot is occupied (often true). If you have a parking sticker you could also go back to University, turn right, and park in the large lot on the left, opposite Lindero Hall, and walk back to this courtyard. Take the elevator located to the left of the archway on the far side of the courtyard from where you entered, and follow the signs to APL.
